Spectacle has worked closely with Waste Management to integrate a recycle, reuse, repurpose message for both on-course activations as well as TV Coverage during the event.
The signature component in this initiative is the floating Waste Management Logo which features 8 tons of recycled golf balls and stretches nearly 125 feet wide.
More recently and perhaps even more prominent than the water feature is the addition of the “Green Gopher”. This animatronic character captains a scaled Chris Craft speed boat to gently scare birds off the floating sign and has become somewhat of a tournament celebrity.
