YZY x Gap Video Wall

Client: Freehold Group

Location: Gap’s Flagship NY Times Square Store

Following Yeezy’s partnership with the retailer Gap and designer Balenciaga, we were tasked to work with Freehold Group to bring Kanye West’s '“Ye” vision of "elevating modern casual basics, with engineering elements towards an urban landscape” to life. The launch included an engineered takeover of Gap’s flagship store in New York Times Square, featuring video walls allowing passersby to preview the garment fit on virtual models and engage in a virtual game experience with in-game avatars donned in pieces of the Yeezy x Gap collection.

The scope of our work included hosting local WebGL game servers, installing the video wall, and custom iPad integration to an immersive video wall displaying real-time gameplay of Ye’s video game. Gameplay was also streamed to 6 exterior video displays framed in a temporary blackout wrap allowing outside visitors a glimpse of inside activity.
